Frangipani/Plumeria

Plumeria

“Hari, Bela and Kamal stood by their door under the frangipani tree,
tense with excitement, watching and holding Pinto back as he barked at
the unfamiliar sight of a car and strangers till his voice was quite hoarse.”—————- an excerpt from “A village by the sea” written by Anita Desai.

I have been wondering about these frangipani flowers ever since I read this wonderful book at school. They turned out to be a part of my childhood too, once I looked them up in the internet, only the name “Frangipani” was a stranger as we called these beauties as “Champa”.
