Suchindram and the temple pond, Kanyakumari

A marvelous specimen of beautiful architecture, the Suchindram Temple of Kanyakumari is a treat to look at, but the greedy specimens inside , hustle you, impose their petty wares and generally push you around to buy things from them and be taken on a tour around the temple . Quite spoils the air for one like me , who likes to get to know my gods on my own, in peace and at leisure. The camera being snatched at the entrance also contributed to a bad mood- I kept worrying about its well being while admiring the massive statue of Hanuman, with freshly churned butter coating his elbows and knees.
